Join us on Wednesday October 2, 2019, for an exciting forum in Calgary that will bring together children and youth with leaders from the business community, charitable sector and academia to discuss the urgent need to invest in Canada’s children and youth.
We are launching our 2019 Raising Canada report in partnership with the O’Brien Institute for Public Health at the University of Calgary. The report paints an alarming picture of the challenges facing young Canadians and calls on federal leaders and all Canadians to be a part of the solution. As we head into a federal election, it is a timely opportunity to put children’s issues on the public radar and build momentum for urgent action to make Canada a world leading country for kids.
Don’t miss this chance to be a part of a dynamic discussion on what it will take to Raise Canada from its current rank as 25th place for child wellbeing to become the best place in the world for kids to grow up!
Youth Forum 8:30 – 11:30
Children and youth ages 10-17 are invited to attend a forum in the morning and be the first to hear about the Raising Canada report and discuss what it means for them and their peers. The Youth Forum is an incredible opportunity for children and youth to use and enhance their leadership skills and directly contribute to a vision and plan of action for Canada’s children. They will also learn about the Canadian Children’s Charter, an exciting new tool created by thousands of young Canadians, calling on leaders in government, the private sector, and civil society, to take urgent action to improve the lives of our youngest citizens.
Tickets for youth are free!
