Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol – live theatre performance with live music
December 7
7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Lougheed House
707 13 Ave SW (see map)
Calgary, Alberta

At the Lougheed House’s seasonally decorated Victorian mansion, Calgary writer, storyteller and musician Steven Méthot will perform the entire cherished A Christmas Carol from memory while animating the voices of 30 characters, from Scrooge and the Cratchit family members to the ghosts, and more.

All Steven’s past performances of A Christmas Carol have sold out. Don’t miss the world’s most famous Victorian-era story as it’s performed magnificently amidst our home’s Christmas trees, lights, wreaths, fireplaces, nutcrackers and decorations.

Steven’s solo performance will be accompanied by live music from three talented musicians (who with him form the quartet “Diminished Fifth”), Natalie Manzer, and Karen and Michael Pollock on harps, flute, concertina, fiddle, guitar and voice.

Note: Steven’s performance runs 1h:45 without intermission. It is appropriate for ages 10 and up.

“Lougheed House Christmas is our popular annual event where the House is custom-decorated anew each year by Calgary professional interior designers who volunteer their skill and vision on our behalf. With Christmas trees, ornaments, lights, furniture, candles and decorative items throughout three floors, Lougheed House at Christmas is a popular seasonal attraction for Calgary families.

This year our designers are Selina Austin, Ana Cummings, Rebekah McEwan, Swantje Macke-Monteiro, Lea Romanowski and Alison Rose.”
